BC Plan an essential contract requirement.
The Commonwealth Bank of Australia are serious about Business Continuity Plans. We have observed their requirement in their Request for Tender (RFT) documents to provide evidence of a Business Continuity Plan.
This example is proof that the understanding & practical usefulness of BCM is growing. We forsee the day that a Business Continuity Plan will be as common a requirement as an insurance poilicy.

Insurance-BCM roundtable report published
The Business Continuity Institute has published its report on the roundtable meeting held with key players in the insurance industry at the end of March 2010.
The focus of the meeting was on establishing a baseline understanding of what insurers were looking for from BCM programmes when considering their underwriting terms and pricing for Business Interruption Insurance.
